Seating - Our Newest Category

We had a rather constructive and spirited session on airplane seating today inaugurated by blogger and "Comment of the Day" author Elizabeth Troller. This level of interest tells us this topic warrants a "category" of its own. As with all postings here on Aircomplane.com™ , newer posts will reside here and slide down as other posts are made but will always be available in their category off to the left. The formal name of the Aircomplane.com™ category on, ahem, seating is: "Seating - 'We have landed safely. You may now remove your knees from your eye sockets.'"

And we’ve received some genuinely supportive e-mail since our launch. Thanks! We’ve also had a few people confess they weren’t as comfortable with blogging as they like. Well, for all of you new to it let us say: if you found us, are navigating through, and reading Aircomplane.com™ , you ARE blogging. And we’d welcome your comments on a topic or posting when you’re ready.

"Travel, once a delightful experience that many looked forward to, is now a  dreaded task simply to get to where you need to go. The fact that airlines continue to allow reclining seats is outrageous because it ALWAYS infringes on the rights and comfort of the passenger seated behind the "recliner".  Even more outrageous is the passenger seated in the bulkhead or emergency exit row.  These "convenience for space" seats are most often the selfish individual who maximizes the recline available.  Aisle row recliners literally  trap the row behind them in their ability to exit their row.  There is no logic to this universal (to airline travel) intrusion on another's right/comfort. The bigger the tilt, the bigger the torso and ego of "the tilter". Enough said."   --  Elizabeth Troller
